Tonight was a good night!! I went to my first ever hockey game...the Bluejackets v. the Redwings. I got to see Jody Shelley and a fight (but not shelley fighting). I think he is so cute even with his missing teeth! The bluejackets won 3-0. So we got a discount at the BJ store because of the shut-out. I picked out this really cool jacket's street sign for the basement. I stood in line for half an hour and when i finally reached the cashier, i discovered that my visa check card was missing. Isn't funny when you realize you have lost something very important, you have this moment of clarity when you realize you know exactly where that lost item is or what you did with it. In my case, I instantly realized that when I grabbed the reciept out of the ATM machine i forgot to also grab my card. So i figured whoever came to the ATM next found a very nice surprise. I immediately called and cancelled my card. When i got home my dad told me that one time he also had left his card in the machine and the bank called him the next morning. He said that after a minute or so the machine will suck it back in. I hope that is what happened in my case. I call the bank tomorrow to find out the damage. I am praying that nothing happened and all i have to do is go through the inconvenience of obtaining a new card.

Okay, I am hooked but these goofy quizzes are too much fun. After the matrix quiz, I thought I should try something a little more humorous and not so serious. Below are my results for the Finding Nemo quiz... (let me know how you all did)

The Guardian published letters from Brits and Americans in response to Bush's Visit to Britain. Below is the letter I found most interesting.
Dear Mr President,
Today you arrive in my country for the first state visit by an American president for many decades, and I bid you welcome.
You will find yourself assailed on every hand by some pretty pretentious characters collectively known as the British left. They traditionally believe they have a monopoly on morality and that your recent actions preclude you from the club. You opposed and destroyed the world's most blood-encrusted dictator. This is quite unforgivable.
I beg you to take no notice. The British left intermittently erupts like a pustule upon the buttock of a rather good country. Seventy years ago it opposed mobilisation against Adolf Hitler and worshipped the other genocide, Josef Stalin.
It has marched for Mao, Ho Chi Minh, Khrushchev, Brezhnev and Andropov. It has slobbered over Ceausescu and Mugabe. It has demonstrated against everything and everyone American for a century. Broadly speaking, it hates your country first, mine second.
Eleven years ago something dreadful happened. Maggie was ousted, Ronald retired, the Berlin wall fell and Gorby abolished communism. All the left's idols fell and its demons retired. For a decade there was nothing really to hate. But thank the Lord for his limitless mercy. Now they can applaud Saddam, Bin Laden, Kim Jong-Il... and hate a God-fearing Texan. So hallelujah and have a good time.
Frederick Forsyth
Novelist
Note: This is the first State visit to Great Britain by an American president. Although other President's have visited England they were never classified as a State Visit. The difference between a state and official visit is that Queen Elizabeth extended the invite, President and Mrs. Bush will be staying at Buckingham Palace, and there is a higher degree of formality and ceremony.

I know that I shouldn't laugh at this poor man, but this is the funniest thing, I have heard all day... A man got his finger stuck in a payphone

Well for a Monday, today was not too bad!! I was able to get tickets for Josh Groban's Concert at the Ohio Theatre and I am so excited that i cannot wait. It sold out in about 15 minutes, but I am in the House...WhooHoo!! The only bad thing is it is still 5 months away. I only have to live for 5 more months :-)~

I thought this article was quite humorous, and since BJU has yet to drop their ban, I can definitely sympathize. Though after 20 some years of no dancing, I am sure that I would not even be able to if i was given the chance.
However there is some good news that BJ is starting to relax some of the frivolous rules. In the Wheaton article they mentioned dropping the movie ban in the '60s, if the rumor mills are true at BJ, then bj has also dropped their movie ban...sort of. Students are now allowed to attend movies over summer and winter break with out having to face discipline when they return to school. However unlike Wheaton, faculty at BJU are still not allowed to drink and smoke in front of undergrads (thank goodness, I would like to know the reasoning behind Wheaton allowing those actions at all).
Let's just review the new changes at BJU...
--Later curfew
--no rising bell
--no lights out bell
--room check at chapel
--movies in the summer
--not having to wear hose when not in class
Man I should have waited a couple of years, and maybe i would not have recieved so many demerits!!!

10. (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1
Now add up the total number of points.
OVER 60 POINTS: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self- centered and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.
51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.
41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well-balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.
31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful &practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.
21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. they see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think
this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.
UNDER 21 POINTS: People think your are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always
wants someone else to make the decisions &who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't.

Well, it has been a while since I have posted and I apologize. Life has been extremely busy. This has been the longest work week yet, and it was only four days long. We had session at the Statehouse and then my boss had a fundraiser last night. The good news is that my boss's legislation passed the House and is now on its way to the Senate!! Today was crazy, because session lasted until 1:00 in the morning so there were a ton of phone calls asking how votes went (the newspapers were not able to publish the results because of how late/early the voting lasted).
I picked up the new Josh Groban cd "Closer" and it is awesome. I bought it tuesday and have yet to take it out of my car. He has such a great voice. I can only wish to ever sound 1/100 as good as him.
Update on Frankie... She has started to get comfortable around us and has even learned to "sit" and "shake paw". Last friday we woke up to this mess, after sleeping on the couch. Frankie definitely has a fetish for paper towels.

Well here is more proof of liberal bias in the media. As of this afternoon Fox news was the only major news source that I could find carrying this story.
I have a new life motto..."Fish are Friends, not food!" I just got done watching Finding Nemo. It is such a cute movie, I think everyone should own it.
I hope everyone remembered to vote! Yesterday was overall a great day! Issue 1 was defeated.

I have a very good excuse for not posting these last few days...Its a Girl!...puppy! She is so cute. We decided to call her Frankie. She is very well behaved and even tempered. We have survived our first car ride, vet visit, and even learned to use stairs (which she runs up and down all the time for no reason). And she has discovered the comforts of the fouton. She has just finished eating, so i have to run so she can eliminate outside and not on our carpet.
