For all those Jonesers who thought the BJU lunch nazis were stingy, take a look at this article. We had it made!

I guess these teachers have forgotten a very important rule of nature...Without Parents there are no children!

ORANGE COUNTY, CA. TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS - ACCIDENTAL DEATHS

Man's Car Runs Over Him Twice

A 50-year-old man died Wednesday after being hit once and run over twice by his own out-of-control car, Brea police said.

Quoc Nguyen of Pomona was pronounced dead about 7:15 p.m. in a parking lot in the 400 block of West Lambert Road, said Lt. Martin Needham of the
Brea Police Department.

According to Needham, the only witness to the accident said Quoc was chasing his 1987 Jaguar in circles in the parking lot. Just as the unidentified witness called out to Quoc to get away from the car, it struck Quoc and knocked him to the pavement, Needham said. The car then circled around twice more, running him over each time. The last time, Needham said, Quoc was "rolled up inside the wheel well," causing the car to stop.

"Our guys are still investigating it, trying to figure out what happened," he said. "Maybe we can get more witnesses."

He said it was unclear how the car got away in the first place or why it was going in circles.

I faced two of my worst fears and learned a very valuable lesson in the process. I donated blood thus striking a strong blow to my fear of needles and guts. Unfortunately, I got sick during the process and turned the "ten minute, no big deal " into an hour and a half of pure ickiness. I learned the hard way that you should always eat an hour before you donate instead of the night before. I don't think I will ever do that again, unless there is a family emergency. Kudos to all those who donate on a regular basis, I have no idea how you do it, but I commend you for your willingness to give of yourself (literally). Just remembering this afternoon's adventure is making me break out in a cold sweat. And before you thank me for being so willing to donate blood, there was a strong motivating factor... four hours of comp time.

Check this article on Masculinity and Politics out. It raises some very intriguing points.

Two Major Victories for life

Here is a link for all sorts of one-minute tests. My favorite is the "What dog breed are you most like". These ought to keep you busy for a while if you ever get bored.

I am so glad that Bachelor Bob did not pick Leanne in tonight's rose ceremony. Though I was disappointed that she acted graciously when she wasn't chosen. I thought for sure that she would go ballistic if she wasn't offered a rose. Oh well, at least we won't have to hear talk about how great of a catch she is! The moral of the story...Pride goeth before a fall.

IT Experts

Well, today was a pretty uneventful day at work. I spent my lunch hour trying to get a hole in one on each hole of the orbitz putt-putt games. Orbitz has the best games. My favorite is Dunk the Punk. If you miss the target and hit him, he gets bruised!

I wanted to suggest to all the Jonesers to check out Al Franken's new book, Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right . He has a whole chapter devoted to visiting the BJU campus. It is pretty funny that he thought he could sneak on campus, and no one would recognize him! Anyway, it is a pretty accurate portrayl of BJU with a few exaggertions. He tends to equate BJ's rules with Christianity which of course is not the case. Just because BJ has specific rules on internet, dating, etc, etc, etc. does not mean that Christianity is defined by them. I am not a Christian because I have a filter on my internet or because I do not drink alcohol. I highly suggest you check this one out at the library, but don't buy it!! I would hate to see someone's hard earned money going to a liberal!

I don't know if a lot of people have heard about this one yet, but now Homeschooling is considered dangerous. I am not even going to argue this one, because it is so blatantly wrong. I guess you could now say that public schools are responsible for all the school shootings.

This article had me rolling at work. I even own one of these bills.

"With half a brain tied behind his back." Enjoy this great column from Ann Coulter!!

For those who don't know me, here is a little background info... My job... I work as an aide for an Ohio state representative.
My hobbies... I love photography, reading, traveling, my friends, and anything that involves politics!
My personality... Weird
My background... I am a Christian and I have attended Christian schools most of my life. I graduated from Bob Jones University in 2002 with a BA in Political Science.

(This brief explanation is for the skeptics) I know that you probably won't believe me but my four years at BJ are some of the best years of my life. I had many great experiences, met my best friends, and matured spiritually and academically. Most of what you heard about BJU in the news is just not true. My suggestion for those skeptics is to visit the campus, and make your own decision. Don't let the media do it for you.

Well, this is my first official post to my very own blog. I know my friends are pretty sick of me just emailing news articles to them, so instead of my emailing them, they can just access them here!
